More I advise everyone not to bother with the fillets of fish sitting out under the heat lamps, here or anywhere else over cooked, dry without much flavor. We’ve never tried the dinner there the few different menu items don’t seem to justify the higher prices, besides we generally prefer to cook. The ambiance is fairly typical, although we appreciate how relatively quiet and spacious it is. The wife sticks to the sushi and hibachi. ![]() I’ll get a plate of shrimp noodles with some spicy chicken, green beans and maybe a dumpling or two, then it’s back to the sushi. The sushi is the main appeal for us, followed by the hibachi (although they didn’t have squid the last time we were there, hopefully a temporary state). It’s one of those rare restaurants where. When we are feeling very hungry, lunch at Asian Buffet is our place to go. I’m a connoisseur of Asian buffets, of sorts, but the one I’m most familiar with is undoubtedly the straightforwardly-named Asian Buffet in Traverse.
